Hi, I’m Alice — the founder of Dahlia Nest Birthing Co., a full-spectrum doula, future nurse midwife, and someone who has always been in love with the magic of birth.

My story starts early. When I was five years old and my mom was pregnant with my younger sisters, I would walk around the house with a ball under my shirt, pretending I was pregnant too. I wasn’t just fascinated — I was called. Even then, I knew I wanted to be part of this world: the world of nurturing, holding, and guiding people through life’s most transformative moments.

As I got older, I dreamed of becoming an OB-GYN. But life has a way of shifting our timelines — I became pregnant as a teenager, and that dream had to be placed gently on the backburner. I spent years in the corporate world, showing up, grinding, doing what needed to be done. But that calling never left me. If anything, it got louder.

Now, I’m answering it.

I’m currently working toward becoming a Registered Nurse and eventually a Certified Nurse Midwife. My mission is to offer holistic, identity-affirming, deeply human care to all kinds of people with uteruses — not just during birth, but across the whole cycle of becoming.

Because here's the truth:
Too many people grow up feeling disconnected from their bodies. Too many have no idea what their cycle means. Too many are dismissed, shamed, or ignored in healthcare settings — especially those who are young, queer, neurodivergent, disabled, or navigating systems that were never built for them.

Having been a teen mom myself, I know how isolating and overwhelming pregnancy can feel — especially when the world sees you as too young, too complicated, or not enough. That’s why I’m so passionate about making sure no one has to go through this alone. Everyone deserves care, dignity, and someone in their corner.

I’ve also had the honor of being a gestational surrogate, a role that expanded my empathy and understanding of the many ways families are formed. Every journey is different, and each one is sacred.

At Dahlia Nest, I offer full-spectrum doula care, mentorship, and advocacy with softness and strength. I’m here for teen moms and queer families. For surrogates and intended parents. For those rediscovering their body after trauma. For the next generation of cycle keepers who deserve to grow up informed and unashamed.

I will never turn away a pregnant person who needs support.
